Robert Legge

Team Vicar  robert-oct-2016

Robert was born in Larne, on the beautiful east Antrim coastline in Northern Ireland, and was brought up in the Presbyterian tradition.  He became a Christian at the age of 14 years, and after leaving school, he trained as a youth worker in the University of Ulster at Jordanstown.  It was here that he was introduced to Helen, who would later become his wife!

After having spent a period of time working in North Belfast in the early 1990s, he applied for a job as a youth worker in a large secondary school in Aylesbury, and much to his surprise he got it!

In 2006 Robert began theological training at Ripon College, Cuddesdon and upon successful completion of his course, he took up the post of curate at Holy Trinity Church, Aylesbury in 2009.

Robert enjoys reading, especially History and Theology, long walks, playing a diverse range of musical instruments and spending time with Helen whom he married in April 2010.  He is passionate about helping Christians to grow and mature in their faith, so that they can reach out meaningfully to the community in which God has placed them.

Robert is firmly convinced that if God can call him to the ministry, He can potentially call anybody!

Rach AkersRach Akers

Team Curate

Rachel was brought up in Warrington in the North West of England and worked as a Nursery Nurse. At the age of 24 life took an unexpected turn and she discovered a life transforming relationship with Christ.

Life since has been quite a rollercoaster! She spent five years living and working In Goa, India, as a missionary with children’s charities, a place which was very much home. After feeling a call to study she reluctantly returned to the UK to Study Applied Theology; at the Pentecostal Bible college in Malvern, Worcestershire. It was here, that to her surprise, she discovered not only a call to the Anglican Church but also ordination!

Rachel completed her ordination training at St Johns College in Nottingham and is now our team Curate. She feels extremely privileged to be in this role and is passionate about sharing the love of Christ with others and seeing lives transformed by Him.
