Disruption to activities at St. George’s Church 21 Feb – 10 Mar

Work will start on Wednesday 21 February at St. George’s Church, Radford Avenue to make changes to the flooring in the nave and chancel. This work will eliminate trip hazards in this area and make it easier to hold activities in the centre nave. When the work is finished the new choirstalls will be set out in the chancel.

The work is scheduled to finish on Saturday 10 March but it is possible that it will carry over to the following week. Unfortunately, all usual weekday activities will be disrupted. Arrangements are as follows:

Wednesday Communion on 21, 28 Feb & 7 March will be at St. Chad’s Church at 10:30am. Then a chance to enjoy a coffee at Café Chad.

Pop-Up Café on Weds 7 March is cancelled.

Friday Coffee Shop will be held in the Annexe.

Sunday services will take place but in the nave only. Services on the 25th Feb will only accommodate the congregation in the right (south-side) section of the nave.

On Sunday 4th March, planned as a United Service, will not now take place. Instead, services will be as follows:

St Chad’s – 9:30am Worship for All; St Cassian’s – 9:30am Holy Communion;

St George’s – 11am Morning Worship; St Cecilia’s – 11am Holy Communion;

St. Mary’s Stone – 11:00am Worship for All & Baptism.

Information on subsequent Sunday services at St. George’s will be given as the work progresses.
