Open Invitation  to The Holy Innocents’ Church for Saturday, 4th August

One hundred years ago on 4th August 1918 King George V led the nation in prayers for peace to end the war – exactly 4 years after it started.

Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury, has extended this invitation – “From 4th August 2018 across this country let us mark 100 days with prayers for peace, hope and reconciliation”. 

100 Years, 100 Days, 2 Minutes Silence

On Saturday, 4th August 2018 The Holy Innocents Church, Stourport Rd, Kidderminster, DY11 6LA will not only hold their usual Coffee Morning from 10.00 to 12.00 with delicious bacon butties and cake but will also be holding Open Church. From 10.00 to 12.00 you may wish to light a candle, write a prayer and/or take some quiet time to reflect. There will also be a very short service starting at 10.50 which will include the 2 Minutes’ silence at 11.00.

We will have our “There but not There” silhouette and Tommy in place.
