Starfest Event at The Holy Innocents’ Church – Sat 6 January

On 6th January at Holy Innocents’ DY11 6LA, the Kidderminster West Team Ministry are holding a themed event around stars with lots of free activities for children and finishing with an Epiphany Lantern Parade led by drummers, the Mayor and Kings.


Join our free event on Saturday, 6th January to celebrate the arrival of the Kings. Free face painting and Lantern making in the church from 1.00 to 2.45.

There is something here for everybody no matter how young or old.

12.00 – 2.00 Small charge for Soup with a roll in the Community Hall Tea/coffee etc. from 12.00 until 3.00

1.00 1.25 – Circus Skills with Peter Cooper –  try the tightrope etc and then at the back of church until 2.45

1.30 – 1.50 – Have a go at Djembe drumming. How good will you be?

2.00 – 2.25 – Sing along Star songs with Ryan. How many star songs do you know?

2.30 – 2.50 – Have a go at drumming again

3.00 – leave for the bandstand in Brinton Park

3.15- Process to church with the lanterns you have made (or bring your own – battery operated lights, please – NO naked flames). The Mayor will lead the Lantern Parade with Three Kings and Djembe Drummers. Why not dress up as a King or Camel?

3.30approx – The Kings will present their gifts at the Nativity Scene in Holy Innocents’ Church.
